iKON is a South Korean boy group under 143 Entertainment, known for their distinct sound and energetic performances. They debuted in 2015 with the hit "My Type" and quickly gained popularity with other chart-toppers like "Dumb & Dumber," "Rhythm Ta," "Love Scenario," and "Killing Me." Their song "Love Scenario" became a massive success, cementing their place in the K-pop scene and gaining attention worldwide. Notably, iKON is recognized as a largely self-produced group, with members heavily involved in songwriting, composition, and production of their music. This commitment to self-production led them to win the prestigious "Producer of the Year" award at one of South Korea's top award shows, highlighting their talent and dedication beyond performance alone. They have also achieved notable milestones on tour, selling out venues across Asia and beyond, which solidified their reputation as one of K-pop’s powerhouse groups. Over the years, individual members have also explored solo activities, with Bobby releasing solo albums like Love and Fall, and some members branching into acting.

Currently, the group is on hiatus as several members fulfill their mandatory military service. Kim Jinhwan, Bobby, and Jung Chanwoo have enlisted recently, with Song Yunhyeong joining shortly after in August 2024. This break allows the members to complete their duties while promising fans they will reunite in the future to continue making music and performing.

Kim Hanbin, also known as B.I, was originally the leader of iKON before parting ways with the group. His creative influence remains a significant part of their early successes. Despite the hiatus, the group members have hinted at future projects, keeping fans hopeful for a comeback when their military service concludes.​
